It has been such a long time since I last visited this blog and now I am here, to note down all that has happened for the past week.
I remember procrastinating for a long time deciding whether or not to go for the CHESS FWC'10. I was really on the verge of deciding not to go, then I thought, heck, just go, plus some of my friends also urge me to go. So there I went. Came back this morning (12midnight actually) and I thought I will really regret for life choosing not to go.
The day started on Tuesday 830am, where I met my OG mate for the first time, together with the OGL and councillors. Initially I felt really weird, being in the new environment and new faces and not knowing what to do. Thankfully the OGLs are friendly and everyone else are easy to talk to. I got to know the names of everyone fairly quickly. Played ice breaking games like MRT (I quite like this game) and give me tempo and some others. End up some people are actually known as the MRT station instead of the names. -_-
Subsequently, we kicked off the dirty games. Dirty, smelly, getting wet, painted, sandwitched, squashed.. But overall it has been good way to get together since everyone is so dirty and smelly (sounds like army huh). Subsequently, washed up, dinner and kicked off the first SP game. I felt quite embarrassed to play this game actually.. I am.. evergreen so far. So.. haha. Shant go into detail. Talked about random stuffs with the girl blind-folded. Sometimes really quite weird but hopefully she has been entertained well.. hehe.
Other than the SP games, we also had the fright night. Actually not that scary, but hearing stories from those who went for the Engin camp and other camps, I thought it is gonna be crazy. Turns out to be relatively okay, with puzzles to solve (I like!) and things to think about. Just the stupid idea that someone might be somewhere trying to scare you. How annoying. The whole thing ended after 1am. Tired, too tired. Washed up, slept for the day at 2.
Second day morning was mostly talks by sponsors, engin rag representative, etc. (good time to catch up with some sleep, oops). After lunch, it was pool games and drag queen (sp?) competition. Lucky never tio to go up and get dressed. So malu! Haha, three cheers for yi da man!
And second night continued with SP games part 2. Instead of just talking there were more activities such as playing some games and crossing obstacles blind-folded. More talking and knowing more about each other. But both of us were very tired on the second night and we just kept on complaining about being hot and tired. Lol. Ended quite early that day so the OG went out for supper (except one guy....... tsk tsk). Went to a nearby shop to eat prata. Again, slept at 2am on the second night.
Thursday is beach games at sentosa. I would say it is the most fun day of the week. It is just about getting wet and dunk random people and getting high, play beach games like dog and bone, turtle turtle jump (direct translation), etc. Afternoon was war games, build a castle and defend it while everyone go crazy and zam one another. Our house got zammed the most! Imagine you can actually flood a patch of sand. That is how bad it was. Forming a layer of human fodder, protecting it at all cost while people throw at your butt, head, back, legs and wet sand flying all over the place. It was miserable, but hell lot of fun. Haha! It's the sufferings together man.
So getting all wet and dirty, we went into the sea to "clean" off the sand. Returned back to school and at night was SP revelation! Finally got to see who my SP is (turn out to be a crasher from SIM Biz. So sad la..) But nonetheless, it was fun knowing her and we exchanged gifts. Haha. How nice..
And Thursday night ended early for the official part, and the unofficial part continued in the OGL's room from 11pm till 4am. Stirred shit, nonsense, HTHT. already damn tired after being so high in the day.. Somehow managed to sustain till 4am. Yawns. Slept until 7am. Pack up and we left for Amazing race on Friday. In the end we had breakfast, watch Eclipse, Lunch, walked around, stroll back to school at 6pm. It was fun to just hang out together =P Sorry station masters!
Finale night was high. According to weilong it was very dead during engin camp. Somehow everyone was high and started jumping around and screaming during the live band performance. Crazy but still fun. Oh and Congratz to Wenqin and Cher Kian winning the pageant! haha really proud that CHESS King and Queen are from my OG. Hehe =D took last few photos before we dreaded to depart on Friday night at 11pm.
It is really hard to put everything into words. Fortunately there is a lot of photos to reminisce the 4 days we spent together. I am really glad that I decided to join in the end.
All in all, it has been an awesome experience with everyone. Let's continue this friendship and bond for the remaining 4 years in NUS Chem Engin! Three Cheers to Paris!
