I am still recovering from a series of activities yesterday.. *pant*
Went for shi yan and jing ting's SL project yesterday. Though we are supposed to gather at 830 and go together.. I am late for about 20mins and took some time to find my way to the office tower.. elicia called me when she is just walking out of her house, but she arrive only slightly later than me.. :( feel so cheated, lol
Xin wei, Elicia, Yan Min, Marcus, I and the organisers of the Heartware SL project are in charge of the paper work and distribution of the pins to the volunteers. Before I could even catch a breath myself the first batch of Saint Nicks girls come already. Think this is their CIP organised on a CCA or school basis.. Things go hectic all of a sudden as there are suddenly so many people registering and not all of us are very sure what to do. For me I am just trying to allocated enough pins into the plastic bags so that it can be distributed to the rest. The rest are busy scribbling on the table and giving out necessary stuffs like permits to ensure that they are legalised to sell the pins.
Before we can even finish the Saint Nicks batch, another batch came in and it is a boy's school (I assume they are since all the people signing up are boys) I am not sure of what the name of school is, but i am just a little put off by their behaviours. They are very noisy and a little inattentive to instructions.. and ya.. typical boys' behaviours eh? haha... so we have another round of hectic work before we are really settled down at 10am.
So.. after pea hours.. we start to play! Haha, I actually brought work like others to do.. but we are soo lazy! Haha, who ask me brought the cards.. bleah. So we played bridge, xin wei me elicia and yan min. Apparently the guys are not as PRO as the girls, so we got niaoed throughout the game and finally, we play dai tee and again, xin wei is acting that she is the most pro woman on earth? hahaha, it was super funny, and we have people calling to yanmin, haha, so poor him has to play and talk at the same time. So we spent the time playing until about 1120am, then xinyi called her laogong to pick her up at duno where (probably at the mrt) so they can go buy our lunch together.
While back in the office, elicia was showing her card trick! Haha, and again i got niaoed for being the typical chinese high guy? eww, I am just laming around ok? HAha, but she is very zai la, she already know the card that I am holding before reshuffling. I wonder how she did it.. hehe, for those who want to see her tricks, come for class chalet! Haha, :P
Next we have lunch, haha, while munching away, two Saint Nicks girls come back already, only managed to remember one of the names.. =X I am very poor at memorising names leh.. :( so anyway, they managed to sell all the pins and collected quite a "heavy" amount of money in the can.. So pro! haha, so we treated her to our games! haha, they are like so amazed by elicia's card trick too! :p after that elicia and xin wei have to go off first.. they still have other appointments.. so yan min, the two saint nick girls and I play somemore cards then we play lf2 on one of the computers there. Haha, though we only get to play a few rounds coz the volunteers are coming back already.. After we are done with them, Yan Min and I have to leave first.. Yan Min needs to go and do his PW and I need to reach sch by 2pm for CCA. So we left the building at 1pm.. and I reach school at 140pm... and i think I have reached there too early...
By the time I reach there, only Ivan, Terence, Damien, See Wah, Khai Boon and some others are there already. Crapping around with some of them at the benches outside the band room, walked around (trying to waste time). Talked to Damien for quite a long time and trying to play around with the keyboard in the band room. haha, he taught me something about scales.. coz every morning during the warm ups there are a lot of terms like E flat major, C major, ya, stuffs like that that I dont understand.. haha, now I understand some liao.. but still taking a very long time. since it is more theory of music, got a bit sianz.. :p if I am in other sections I think i will have a hard time learning all these scales.. :P
So finally, we are able to move off! and its already about 430pm already. Christi did not come..coz she has some ASEAN dance thinggie for foregin scholars.. only if she had come then it would be very fun too! Haha. So we took bus to NUSS in NUS (=_=) crapped somemore on the bus.. band is really a scandalous place! haha, but I think just not scandals le.. a lot are real.. like 5 pairs already? including the seniors. o.O and a lot of scandals too.. damn fun lor, menghon was like trying to take a snap shot of jun wei and jasslyn (spelling?) together walking towards us. In the end.. Mission Failed! There is a story behind this couple one.. but I shall not gossip too much on that :p
We reached NUSS at about 5++ a little hiccups along to way coz we cant find the place.. at the NUSS function room, we were busy setting up everything.. the projector, computers, rehearsal. Took a lot of pictures (considering that I dont take so many pictures in one function..) everyone is like screaming around and running around in the room. So damn fun la! haha, then we had a snap shot of our final random videos and brass item while the seniors are strolling in.. they took damn long to arrive! partly because this place is so hard to find (Our dear BM/05 actually took 1 and 1/2 hr to find this place..) and we have to delay to almost 8pm! but I think it is alright, coz its like we took very long to resolve some technical problems and other stuffs too.. so finally the seniors came in and woo.. i am so happy to see all of them back, even though they may not be my seniors. We had dinner! (finally) and song dedication to Chuan Yuan! and the song is twinkle twinkle little star! Haha, its our section joke la, and he was like going "I expected liao lor, bu shi niao ni (another of my senior) jiu shi niao wo.." haha, then we watch the J2 video. our seniors are so sweet la, and it was very funny! haha, though I only understand some of them, but it is still very nice! Had a good laugh at some of the instances, and the brass item is really lame too! the imitating seniors is very lame also, hahaha. Then is the random video by J1s, our section put up the advertisement by FedEx and realised my flaws.. not in the acting.. anyway that is not important.. all the items put up are sooooo damn funny la! like the one on the marigold banana milk, dong xi zai na li (IKEA) and many others! Laugh until my tummy hurts.. oh my gosh.. then we have the sectional exchange gifts! ahh my seniors are soo nice.. give us bear bears.. Ai Wen got a VERY CUTE red colour pig with curly tail. Hahaha, damn sweet la.. and the colour of the fur will change colour if u stroke it in opposite directions.. and ai wen was laughing fanatically at our senior.. coz he was like rubbing the two soft toys together and it make a very weird colour combination on the dolls.. we even recorded her laughter and set it as ring tone.. at that time I really cant help to control my laughter already.. It was super funny.. beyong description already. and we are busy sending that to people via bluetooth. hahaha, if next time you hear a laughter from someone's hp, it must be Ai Wen's. wahahaha
And we reluctantly left the place at 1035pm.. the night has been crazy and most enjoyable.. dont know how to describe in details since my english was like so broke.. you guys have to make do with it! haha, I decide to take cab home since its so late.. and got Jacklyn and another J2 senior from clarnet section to share cab. Got home by 11pm, and I feel so exhausted.. It was a fun, fruitable, and a totally new experience day for me.. At exactly 1 year later, we will be leaving this CCA too.. as J2s.. before that day arrives, I shall enjoy myself as much as I can in band! HCBand rawks!

I am back to blogging again.. it seems that I am so slack now.
But it is the peace before a storm. The stronger the storm, the more peaceful it is.
I feel anxious.
Thanks to YiHuang, I got to found this cool website that can find all the symphonic songs (if i know the title!) and pieces other schools play. It is damn cool lor, haha, I like symphonic musics =D Must be coz of my parents.. they listen to them too. haha. Oh ya.. for band prac on wednesday we did the filming of the random video for the farewell party on saturday. for us, we did the FedEx the advertisement.. haha, but we make the delivery woman, ai wen fall into the water. and we filmed her walking around in the school, and I must say that her screaming skills is damn zai. wahahha, i bet everyone will laugh until stomach ache on saturday. hahahaha
well that is on wednesday I get to know more about others. Before this day, I only know this guy is in band that girl is in what section. Actually they feel the same about us too, like, another person in band. Should really get to know more about them, talk more and make more friends. Ya, haha, to make my CCA practices more interesting ;) but i seriously take a long time to get to know the others.. but slowly... ya.. i can match the name and the faces liao.. teehee. ya.. after 4months? :X
apart from CCA, there has been major revamp going on within the class. It seems that some of us are so committed that we don't have time for the class things.. So we decide, with the help of mdm siew, to revamp the class committee. So right now:

Basically that is about the class reps and committee =) Though some of the names may not be familiar to some of you reading my blog.. sorry :(
I think that this class committee should be able to bring the class more together. We had our first class meeting of the new committee today! and elicia and I sit in for the conference too. haha, basically talking about what we are gonna do, things like the buddy system for school work, emergency relay system, disciplinary problems, MAF and activities during the holidays :) haha, i think with xin wei and yan min as the CT reps, we are gonna be sure that we will be scolded every now and then. Haha.. no la they are not that scary, they are all very nice.. :P
I think the second intakers have change much of our lives, the lives in 6C. They are a bunch of lively individuals, very fun loving and somewhat thick-face? haha, aint all the jokers like that. :p I cant be joker myself, but I enjoying laughter and crapping during lessons and after school, but I always listen to them and laugh :p probably i just cant come up with my own topic to talk about among us :( nevertheless, I would say this class could only be doing better, though there are some hiccups along the way, but I am sure we will do better, as a class, as well as individuals. We are indeed a very guai class, and I am proud of it. We dont need to go all out to skip lessons, be late for anything, and pon this pon that. We can be united in the positive ways, like the SL project for the car washing thing. Everyone is so supportive of jia wei! I am really looking forward to 5th august, not just for the car wash... teehee...
coming back to more serious matters, I hope that there will be less segregation between the two groups, dont let language barriers stop us from interacting. We are all bilingual, just not used to using the other language. It will improve with time, just like me! haha, but on the other hand, i feel that my chinese has been deteriorating very quickly.. everything comes with a cost huh.. isnt that what we learn in econs?
Talking about school work.. i better start on something soon, else I will really die for EoM, :( see ya!

These few days and weeks have been really busy..
Since the start of Term 3, life has been hectic and busy. We had the block test, and finally a few days of recovering for the dead brain cells.. and once the actual work starts, it seems like a running train, unstoppable.
Sometimes I wonder, what for..
I have been busy with the preparation for the class stall, band farewell party, spring cleanings, and school work. The school claims that they are reducing the lecturing times so that we can have more time for our own.
But then, the fact is, we can only get busier. it is a fact that our lecture time has been decreases. But the content remains relatively much the same, and being squeezed into a shorter lecture time frame, we students can only be forever chasing the train, and we can do nothing but seeing this train of work speeding off ahead of us.
Again.. what for...
I have to admit that I am a slacker in secondary school. I practically skipped all of the CCAs from sec 3 onwards. Maybe it is just that I am whining too much now coz i am used to slacking already. You can always compare me to others like xin yi and jia wei, they worked really hard and they practically have no time to do other stuffs. They cannot go on class outing with us, I doubt they have time for their friends also...I dont even have enough time for my families already.. let alone friends.
I wonder when is the last time I actually go out with my friends..
I don't like to see anyone getting upset because of me, but sometimes i just cant help it, and I feel guilty and bad. I always think that i should do my best to please everyone, but as time passes, I realise that there is no way I can actually fulfill everyone's wants. this is what I hate to do -- making choices. Because I have to sacrifice others to do something else for others. It puts me into a very difficult situation. probably that explains why i dont suit to be a leader. A leader sometimes have to be the bad guy, and I dont want others to have any resentment towards me. That is why I try my best to help everyone, but I realise, that I am just tiring out myself.
I need to sacrifice something for something. But what do I treasure the most?
I want to be with my good friends, I want to be with my class, I want to know more about the people in band.
The fact is, I only have this amount of time, so much to be done. What should I do?

It has really been some time since I last blogged.. hm..
My relatives from taiwan came singapore last tuesday.. and they went Bintan.. came back on friday and we spent the rest of the time going Sentosa and playing at home.
Ya it is really fun, it feels as if I am back to the holidays and I dont need to care anything about schoolwork, at least for the 1 or 2 days.
Maybe that explains why I am rushing all my work now...
Went to haircut today, but like spent almost 2hrs for it because there are sooo many people.. and within that two hrs I realised more functions of my phone.. and read some magazines on different types of hairstyles.. some are really nice but I dont know if i am up to the standard to try that. lol

ok where was I.. oh ya.. now my computer spoilt already.. haven repair.. so no more distraction (or rather, less distraction).. Used to sitting in front of computer almost the whole day if i am not going out. Now I can finally sit at the dining table and do my work.. but it is really mentally stressing.. **brain dead**
better get some sleep soon.. week 5 gonna be even tougher. Jia you!
My relatives from taiwan came singapore last tuesday.. and they went Bintan.. came back on friday and we spent the rest of the time going Sentosa and playing at home.
Ya it is really fun, it feels as if I am back to the holidays and I dont need to care anything about schoolwork, at least for the 1 or 2 days.
Maybe that explains why I am rushing all my work now...
Went to haircut today, but like spent almost 2hrs for it because there are sooo many people.. and within that two hrs I realised more functions of my phone.. and read some magazines on different types of hairstyles.. some are really nice but I dont know if i am up to the standard to try that. lol

ok where was I.. oh ya.. now my computer spoilt already.. haven repair.. so no more distraction (or rather, less distraction).. Used to sitting in front of computer almost the whole day if i am not going out. Now I can finally sit at the dining table and do my work.. but it is really mentally stressing.. **brain dead**
better get some sleep soon.. week 5 gonna be even tougher. Jia you!

Computer is down..
there has been problems with the on/off button of my computer.. everytime i have to press hard to on it, but it is officially stuck, and after unstucking it, i cant on it. Most probably it is the problem with the casing.. Gotta contact yq's bro and see what to do..
and most probably, i will get a warranty, but the problem is, i cant find the receipt now..
I am in trouble.

Taking a break from doing PnC and english compo corrections.. very tired arh...
yesterday went to school at about 10am to meet up with ai wen and christi to make the necessary items for the seniors, which includes invitation cards, letters, 10 trivia questions.. most of the things are done except for the letters part.. each of us have to write to 4 of our seniors.. now i envy the juniors next year because they only have 3 seniors.. haha.. :X
and had lunch with the rest of the band members. If you are wondering why I am in school so early, because we, the band, has to be at the sch for the college day, to play a 1 minute of fanfare and school song. The event starts at 230pm and we are suppose to assemble at 1pm, damn waste time! Its like we are being used la.. even though u can say that band always liddat one, at least dun exploit lor, this is like exploiting us.. its like we so much free time arh.. next time liddat i want flip face liao..
after the event, I am supposed to meet up with the rest of the class at elicia's house, which is at, serangoon! ahh a bit far huh.. being unsure of the place, I got a local to bring me there, haha.. ya.. its ying chern from clarinet, she is going to kovan, so just nice shun lu.. took bus to little india mrt then mrt to serangoon.
And here is the funny part, I went exit the mrt, and called elicia to know where i am suppose to head towards, then there is a second line waiting, its from xin wei, ya but apprantly I did not pick that up.. and at that instant, xin wei at the other side of the telephone, dropped her handphone, but she didn't pick it up, but instead, watching it bounce and bounce into the drain, she couldn't help laughing.. so yan zhi picked that up.. luckily its at the grass patch at the slope of the drain, (suddenly this reminds of me what happened to yanmin bro's hp..). So i get myself there, safely, and we walked to elicia's house. but then xinwei is like quite unsure of which house it was, so she pressed one of the door bells, then someone came out, I couldn't recognise its elicia and i thought we went to the wrong place. I turned back and walk away, only then elicia called me and i realise its her -___- looks so different undoing her hair and not wearing specs, haha
ya and we had fun making the cookies, the rest (elicia, shi yan, audrey, jun quan) started baking the first batch, but it seems to be quite a failure, but the second batch is nice! haha, probably because of the chocolate chip toppings, it seems that it tastes better than the first batch, and there is very few that is chao da :D ya, thanks to the master chef of the day! (guess who?)
I was a little disappointed by the number of people who turned up.. but nevertheless, we had fun teasing you-know-who and of course some chit chat and laughter, it was generally a good experience, baking the cookies with friends, ya! haha, everyone is quite cooperative and effiecient, we finished the baking+package+cleaning at 745pm, realising that its quite late, we left elicia's house, without playing mahjong! :( I am like so desperate to play la.. but no one want to play.. haha =X but i think its better that we had not played.. coz i reached home at 10pm.. if we had played i will definitely get a good scolding..
went to highland mall to eat dinner, audrey left earlier, so its left with 5 people eating at yoshinoya, had somemore talking sessions before we wait for xinwei for her bus, haha, we dont want to leave here alone.. awww, afterall, its quite late already.. shiyan boarded her bus shortly after xinwei boarded her bus. Yan Zhi walked home, and junquan and I left for the mrt, chatted somemore on the mrt (gosh its like whole day talking?) and I am home!
Its a good experience, ya I like cooking, hehe, but like not the same as cook well.. oh well, and i dont have the chef look! haha, xinwei says junquan has the chef look, hm.. what does that mean.. since she likes to eat so much.. is she considering.. ok i didn't say anything, the rest will be up to you to think and infer =D

I think I am getting more used to the class. Though nobody really cares about the buddy system thinggie, but I can see an improvement in the interaction between the classmate.
Today we simply had not much of a lesson, chem tutor and gp tutor was not around because of the investiture for the new teachers in the school. So practically, we spent the first hr of the day (chem tutorial) to discuss about the street market that we are going to set up for the racial harmony day. From 10+ choices we shrink down to 1 type, I shant reveal what we are making but I think it will be very nice ^^ do come to patronize our stall on that day :D
And we spent the whole gp lesson discussing about CIP. Apparently jia wei is promoting his car wash CIP, while jing ting and shi yan are organizing the heartware foundation, it is like a market somehow, people were asking how much cip each one has, haha, like aunties liddat, must compare all the goods. So in the end some of us settled down for the admin work for the heartware foundation, for me, I have chosen 2 sundays starting next week, and car wash on 5th August, hehe. I think more than half of the class is going for the car wash on 5th august, yeah! its gonna be fun.. heehee. Our class very enthu about CIP leh, haha, probably because our classmates are the organisers so must support!
Coming to think of it.. I think band farewell party is on the 29th.. luckily never clash with any of the cip days. Next few weekends gonna be busy.. So better not leave anything left for weekends to do.
Oh.. and our CT rep asked us to get an envolope and stamp.. its for the school to post our BT results.. I was like.. what the.. even those money the school cannot fork out meh, must use our money, somemore not we want one. Like forcing us do something we dont want.. stupid la, sch admin sucks. =X
oh well, dont know if i still have the time to blog anymore, like a lot of work is coming up.. physics spa.. pw.. ya! Everyone is doing a lot of work liao! only our group still slacking, ahh, at least must complete the survey. Ok, gotta get back to work already, till next time then ;)

4 groups, 4 hours, 2 champions, 2 losers, 1000 sianed people
Apparently the actual number is less than 1000, if you see how pissed the teachers are, I bet there is less than 600 left, and some didn't even bother to come, so ya, expected.
I spent 2hrs chatting with terence heng, ellicia, yanmin, yanyin. We were sitting right behind the corner of the audi, ya cozy corner, and we talked so loudly that lynette who was sitting behind me had to tap me now and then :p haha, it was fun, talking about.. hm.. what ah, haha, lazy to type ler la, just talk lor.
Then there is break, without even knowing how long is the break, we (the same group) went to eat at canteen. We were expecting a lot of people, but it turns out that it is quite empty. Either they went to kope the food from the food for the VIPs, or simply go kap/coro to eat and skipped the rest of the thing. but our class very guai, 24 of us stayed :D (or we are just stupid? o.O)
So finally we endured through the whole thing. Went to eat at coro at prince with xin wei, audrey, lu yang, jun quan and jia wei. So six of us settled down, chat a little. I was asking xinwei about the class chalet, and she actually did some research! Seems that the tentative venue is at aloha (spelling?) chalet. Cost should be around 30 just for the chalet, excluding all other charges. Quite cheap la, but must get more people to go to average out the fix cost.. (oops) haha, ya maybe its a little cramp, but who cares! anyone actually sleeps during a chalet? Haha
Pretty much what happened today, tomorrow there is cleaning so have to be in school by 1.30pm. Alright, till next post then.

We met the 2 new teachers, and the only new teachers, today. One is Ms Chua, just graduated from NIE and NUS, she has teaching background of 6 years, in Changi Women Prison. Not a bad place to teach eh? She is kind of scary.. maybe because you teach in prison so you have to act (or she is?) fierce. And I always have the feeling that she is treating me like a prisoner. You know, quite unfriendly, dont smile, in chinese, 扳着一张脸. But probably she is good at teaching (though she screwed one of the question up in the block test mcq when going through) but I think this is her first time teaching A level chemistry and she is getting used to it. Hopefully it gets better.
The other teacher is our GP teacher, Ms Ng. unlike Ms Chua, she is more lively and in a way, fun. Coz we were doing our introduction and we were simply crapping la! Have fun laughing till my stomach pain and it was so tiring.. haha. Have not had a good laugh in a while already, at least not like that.. :p
She didn't give us back the block test results, instead, she went through what to be covered in term 3, and today she was talking abortion.. Hm.. finally some interesting topics, culture and religion.. really not my interest. We had a short lesson coz we spent 45mins doing self intro, haha. I feel that finally we have got a better GP teacher, i think that she is better than our previous GP teacher. Hope my grades can improve.. but i guess much is still up to myself to work on..
Things coming up this week
8/7: Band spring cleaning (band room)
obviously we, the perc section, has nothing to clear inside the band room. Maybe the percussion room? Hasn't been there a lot of times and it is quite dusty.. for those who dont know where is the percussion room, it is just behind the music room. A space allocated to put all the instruments lor. But it seems that the school is so poor that we dont have any excess instruments.. haha. I thought that the room could be better made you use, though it is really far (climg all the way to 4th floor) to the room. Ya so most of us prefer to stay at the void deck. (btw its only 3 of us in the percussion section -_- the 3 you can find playing in the morning.) And there is expected to be games after that, I hope I could get to know more people that time. Taking my time to know more people, now I can recognise the MWOs, chairman and vice (duh) and SCs and some other individuals. Hehe, well, percussion section is really quite a loner section :(
ok la, this shall be all today, tomorrow is half day, but i heard we are stoning in the audi for 4hrs. darn it.

Just changed my blog skin, spent like abt 45mins on it, in the end, i took the easy way out.. anything goes wrong just slash and burn. Lol, meaning, delete la! ahhh

and there are some problems with the script and firefox, hopefully I can get a pro to resolve it..
Yups, guess that is about all now, tomorrow starting school le, haiz, start of term 3, and a lot of work ahead. Guess no more time to slack already.. after 5 days of consecutive holidays after blocks...
No more sleeping till sun burning my backside, no more latenight activities (chatting online la!) and a table cleared just for the piling work.

Today is sure a nice day =)
Met yingqun today at 1215 today at somerset mrt. We wanted to watch Cars at 1210 but it was too late, so we decided to watch the 220pm one. We had our lunch at the basement of cine and then head off to heeren to buy his slippers. A white one, and saw a couple of nice slippers featuring the competing teams in world cup. Yup, they are all nice. :p
then we watched cars, at first I wasn't very enthusiastic about the show, since it is a cartoon after all, however, it showed much morales and the characters are soo cute! Haha, it really brings out my emotions at some point of time, it is nice! considering that it is a 2hr long cartoon (which average is abt 1.5hrs) i think this is probably one of the nicest cartoons around. Haha
after which we went to far east plaza, did a quick survey on the way about financial and entrepreneurship. and i was asked for my hp number, i forgot! so ma lu -_- then had to ask yq my hp number... =X
we walked around inside the shopping centre and he bought a shirt. Then we walked somemore, then suddenly asked me to take his bag for him, and then he asked me to take our his water bottle (apparently I did not accomplish what he wanted to) so he "asked" me to search for something in his bag, only then i realised that there is something weird inside.
It is a nalgene water bottle, with hand drawn "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHIYT" in round and bubbly words.
Without a doubt, I realised, this is the birthday present he got for me.
I was kinda shocked and stunned, maybe I am to easily surprised, but you know it is really sudden and poof, out comes my water bottle. My old one is really old, even the strape holding the cap fell off. A perfect time to change a new bottle! :D then we settled down for some food before heading back home.
Before yq left, I could hear him telling me to open the bottle. so after he left, i opened the bottle. Inside is a scrolled up piece of paper inside a ziplock bag. At that instant I knew that this is the second surprise he had planned for me..
It is a nicely drawn, hand drawn, spent hours of hard work into painting and sketching, and it is a portray of his and my maple character, rifie and chiyt, while "F2-ing" with the Henesys background.(I think) Omg it is super nice, and I am super touched to see that, and I saw the magical 8 digit on the bottom of his words, "03072006" I immediately make a connection between what he had said earlier about sleeping at 5am, and this drawing.
I can feel a drop of tear oozing out of the side of my eyes, seriously.
Even this drawing can sell for millions, I wouldn't sell it, after all, it is one and the only one in this world, just for me.
I am super touched.. :"D

It is a nicely drawn, hand drawn, spent hours of hard work into painting and sketching, and it is a portray of his and my maple character, rifie and chiyt, while "F2-ing" with the Henesys background.(I think) Omg it is super nice, and I am super touched to see that, and I saw the magical 8 digit on the bottom of his words, "03072006" I immediately make a connection between what he had said earlier about sleeping at 5am, and this drawing.
I can feel a drop of tear oozing out of the side of my eyes, seriously.
Even this drawing can sell for millions, I wouldn't sell it, after all, it is one and the only one in this world, just for me.

It all started with a beep.
"Heys shueli here, there's syf opening ceremony tmr.. blah blah.. be in sch u.. meet at band room at 1.50 then board at 2..."
message received on friday night....
I woke up yesterday at 8am, super tired, was suffering from slight sore throat, in the morning. I think i ate too much heaty food and my throat went super dry during the night, so it was damn uncomfortable so i wake up and have a drink, unable to sleep after that..
so pratically I headed sch with sleepy head, reached sch at 1.55, but there is no one that I know around (that would be ai wen and christi), then aiwen showed up together with yu min (a new band member i get to know today! haha) apparently they came rushing back from the nanyang funfare... and after knowing that the syf opening ceremony starts only at 5, everyone starts grumbling and wanting to pon, haha, and ai wen and yu min just make the most noise la.. haha, keep saying what need go grandma house eat tang yuan.. lol, i was super amused. So finally, after waves of complaining and crapping, we (14 people in total) headed towards the clock tower to board the bus.
Saw more people at the clock tower, lekchia, yan min, bryan, baohe, and many others from other musical CCAs, harmonica, string orchestra, chinese orchestra, chior and others? then finally we boarded the bus at 3pm, everyone is super relieved in the aircon la, like duh? It is super hot and humid outside. And apparently the attendance of all the CCA groups sucks, even class 06S6B was made to come down to kallang national stadium. I feel sad for them la, at least we have something to do with this syf opening ceremony, this attendance is like complete no link with them... they were just made to come down to fill the seats...
So the bus left with 14 band members and 2 choir guys. Everyone simply sleep and doze off or just lazy to talk on the bus, probably everyone is getting sianed of the fact that we have to attend the syf opening which sounds like a big boring event that is only to put up a show. Finally, we reached, and we left the green card that is supposed to be used for easy identification for the members in the same group. We conveniently left it on the bus, haha, in the end shueli was like how how how? but no one got lost, and no one really cared about that piece of paper... =X
We were made to stand under the sun for almost 45mins. Super hot, and we were just like stuck in the middle of the sea of humans, everywhere people, super sian, then suddenly there is this band walking past us, the band is so big la! its like they have been walking past us for the past 3mins and still more to come, only later that we know that they are one of the performing bands..
410pm, finally we settled in at block 18/19/20. they played some musics like lv guang (by stephnie sun), popular malay music and tamil song. these songs are all sang by the combined school choir.. so the standard is not lower than that of the real singer, ya, nice. but the only thing is that it starts at 5, so we were made to sit there for the next hr, then the ceremony officially starts. It started with the marching in of all the uniform groups, then arrival of PM Lee. inspection.. blah blah, then finally the things starts.
The thing started with guest performances from bands from malaysia and thailand. They were really quite boring, seriously, coz their band is small, thus they are so soft that i could not hear 90% of the music. I was simply dozing off that time la.. somemore so hungry.. other schools got packed food like KFC.. wat we have.. not even a bottle of mineral water.. haiz.. but fortunately, the best performances of the day finally came, the performance of singapore displayed bands. First is tanjong katong. nice display of a variety of images, like batman, superman, nevertheless the drum major is the most pro of all, though hiccups in during the performance, but overall it was still nice! And they got the best displayed band award.. kudos to them!
the winner of the best drum major of the year is the DM from deyi secondary.. ok la he is zai la.. can catch the mace with both right and left hand, if not for his miss at the last moment, the whole performance would have been a perfect one! I could never imagine myself to do that in front of everybody, though I am really interested in learning how to toss the mace around and catch :p
and bowen seconday has a female drum major.. and she is damn.. chio la! I got a closer look of her on the LCD screen, and she is practically following the rythem of the music while tossing and jerking her butt.. oops, ya and she does it beautifully.. aww too bad she is not the best DM of the year, nevertheless, all the 3 DMs are my idol! Seriously, they are damn zai, spent lots of time and effort into practising (of course some passion is definitely needed)
hm.. just rmbed that there is a mass performance put up my nan hua high school, cant rmb if it came before or after the band performance, but it is nice too! holding up those reflective plates and doing all sorts of formation, 900+ people from the school came down leh! that is like half of the college section.. nice one from nan hua. i wonder when will be our turn, haha
and the last performance of the day is the mass performance, together with the singing of the SYF theme song of this year, reaching beyond. sang by terasa and chee yang, the song is recorded.. i was looking forward to a live performance actually.. but the camera boy keep showing terasa la! haha, i think that cant be helped too, the camera showing chee yang is so far and blocked by many other performers, but nevertheless, the mass dance and singing is great! all dancers come together with the music and the lyrics blend together with the song, everything come together to put an end to the ceremony. It ended nicely and we left with a different view on the performance. We were cynical and sacarstic about the performance, only then we realised they put up a great show by practising lots and rehearsing. Don't judge a performance by its name.. hm.. everything must qin shen ti hui. Ya! I dont really regret going, at least our efforts of standing under the sun and waiting paid off in the end..
at 7pm, we headed off to kallang MRT. walked a distance to the mrt while chatting with yumin, ying chern, and menghon. and when we arrive at the mrt, we were like "oh my gosh!" so many people standing on the platform, and even more are queueing up to buy tickets and going in. We (me yu min ying chern) waited for christi to buy her single trip ticket. (she lost hers during the block tests..) then we queued again to go through the gantry. then yumin was blocked by the gantry, but she went through nevertheless, haha, if it had been me it would be very ma lu la.. haha. then she had her card checked, it was expired on 30th june. I think she did not have her card extended at mrt stations.. wonder how to solve this proble, so she went back to the machine to buy her single trip ticket. while waiting, i realised that the whole MRT is congested with people, everyone going up to take mrt non-stop, and the officers have to open another lane for the people to enter, and there are some hiccups, like some kids keep tapping on the machine but it only showed red, she did not give up and take out her card to tap, a lot of times somemore, then succumb to the fact that her card something wrong. Waste other people's time la.. then I think the machine got overloaded.. then the officers have to stop the people from coming in while trying to fix the problem. Finally, we are able to see yu min among the sea of people in the station again and we escalate up to the platform.
I really feel sorry for the people waiting at lavendar mrt station, the train was so packed that they could barely come in. but the packness got better at bugis, and better at cityhall. christi alighted at cityhall since she is going back to sch, while ying chern took the opposite direction towards pasir ris at kallang. Had a chat with her, even though it is the first time I really got to talk to her, we are still able to talk about a lot of things, haha, ya then I alighted at tiong bahru (almost forgot to alight) while she headed off to dover to have tang yuan at her grandma house. lol
Had my dinner and went home, reached at 9pm. Tired, but a fruitful day. at least i get to enjoy the nice performance, and get to know yu min and ying chern for a start of my determination to know more people in band. Haha, maybe I should go to thailand together with the others in december for a band exchange programme. That should allow me to mingle with the others more deeply..
