I also wake up slightly earlier just to bring my maple char to vic. haha, doing 3rd job today, finally wor.. duno spend how much time and effort on it, finally can do le... but still have to wait until abt 4pm then do, coz the elections end at 3pm.. I am not running any post la.. considering my experiences and leadership quality.. *rolls eyes*
I know I haven been updating my blog entries.. Deepest apologies to all who read my blog!
Past week has been an exciting one. Sabbatical week(excluding wednesday). From bowling to sign language, then leap public speaking, finally the "party" at the very end of term 2. Everything is exciting and fun.
During monday and tuesday, I finally learn the techniques of bowling. I still remember how much I get for the games.. and i actually only played less than 5 games in my life. I think i played more in 2 days than in my past 10years.. the drills were not that boring to me, coz we can see each other making funny movements? Haha, especially terence our forever AA guy? Then of course our team got more pro and ballet-inclined (oops) yanmin then one big mass of bryan and baohe from strings (i seriously think he has an english name and he was in British Council last time in sec 1 with me... or i have remembered the wrong guy) We did very lame things like changing the name of the bowler... -__- So in the end we had 4 games in total, 1 on the first day and 3 on the second day. I didn't top any (duh, considering how badly I played last time) but at least I can hit 100 now :P almost twice my score last time le.. Terence yanmin had their tops in each of their games, while I will be in the 2nd or 3rd position. Don't worry guys out there, even if you get scores like 40 or 50, you can get 100! like me.. hehehe..
I shall skip wednesday, nothing much to talk about, really. There is talk to talk about, but i dont want to talk about it in this. (wth am I saying -_-)
To be continued, eh? I am late for school already! :p

IMO the class unity needs to be strengthened, this helps everyone in the class.
Today Xin Wei, Jun Quan, Jia Wei, Yan Min, Audrey, Lian Joo, Xin Yi and I were talking about having a class spirit after the econs tutorial. The one hour break for us to study/eat before the physics test. But we used that period of time to discuss over it. Touching right? :')
-____________-
There are several points that was raised during the discussion. Some really struck me, dumbfounded.
Class spirit is not built up by having as many class outing as possible, but, we feel together as a class, in another words, a sense of belonging.Pin point right in the problem of the class. This is the key, we don't feel together as a class. We are not united, we don't participate in events together, everyone has different ideology. Simply put, we don't behave like a united class.
Yesterday I was having my lunch in the canteen, alone. Then I saw our seniors, nearly all of them. Sitting on one whole long table having their lunch. They chat and they laughed. At that moment, I had a sudden gush of sadness. How many breaks did we actually have together. Most of the time we don't go to breaks together since at some parts of the timetable we don't have a break together. But it is really through small minute things like having lunch together that shows how united is the class. Some, even if they don't want to eat, can actually follow the class to the canteen to chit chat while the rest are eating. However, it seems that everyone is staying with their own close friends and eat together with them. Worst still, we don't even sit together sometimes, here and there, scattered. It is really through these behaviours that reflect the true togetherness of the class. Needless to say, obviously the feel is not there. The sense of being together is absent.
It is undeniable fact that each of us has their own things to attend to and may not be able to go with the rest everytime. However, I feel that we are putting our own priorities way too ahead of the class. Maybe it is because many of us don't feel that there is a need to sacrifice for the class, therefore some would rather do things their own ways. But this has seriously affected much of the togetherness of the class. If everyone do things their own way, then why are we still being put together as a class? What is a class for? Sit together and attend lessons, tutorials, lectures and THAT IS ALL? Why? I simply couldn't understand some who always disappear immediately after the lessons and poof! Gone, disappeared, without a trace. I mean, is the end of school marks the end of the class? We have not really had attend anything OTHER THAN school work together. How many actually support your friends in their respective CCAs? A lot of the people think that they have better things to do. (i.e. mug) It is really undeniable that our classmates are hardworking, then we will be influenced by one another and become hardworking. Positive exteranlity eh? BUT what else is there except school? 17 year old is just about studying?
There is nothing we can do if everyone think their priority is to study. Seriously, if that is the priority, then there is no way you can get to enjoy your once-in-a-life-time of 17-year-old again.
Your choice, your future, your past, your life.

I have lost count how many days it has passed since my last post.. Really really long ago..
Yesterday marked a new beginning of my life as well as the end of Capriccio XXII.
I still rememberd how bewildered I am when I first stepped into music room. I was introduced to some of the other band members by Terence Phay. I was unsure of which section to join at first. As time progressed, I have made up my mind - percussion is section where my heart will lead me to, a great discovery of my true potential.
I have little background for musical groups. It seems to me, as well as to my seniors, that the path ahead of me is more than just a rough one. It is as if sailing through a thunderstorm - you have to know where you are heading towards. With a clear destination ahead, your determination and commitment shall lead you safely through the journey.
In the beginning, I am not used to having stay back until 7+ at some days to practise. To be honest, I don't have a good CCA attendance. But this is when I want to participate something that I really enjoy, that I can make the most fun out of.
"You do best when you enjoy"Staying late almost everyday 3 weeks before the concert. Words of encouragement really spurred us on when we are completely drained. Mr Leng's words seemed so harsh, so critical then, however, looking back, without his valuable teachings we wouldn't be what we are today.
I am really thankful to my seniors, they are really patient and caring to me, especially when I am a total noob in percussion. Hours of continued practice with me is really no simple job for busy J2 seniors. Their sacrifice for the section is invaluable......
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Capriccio twenty-two......"
It has started, with the first piece. Honestly, I have no confidence in the first 3 pieces of the music. Maybe it is the beginning of my first ever performance on the stage in front of the public of 800. The performance begins with a crash by my senior. Playing the suspended, as well as tambourine, my heart is pounding, a little faster than the beat...
The little present Yan Min gave me just before the beginning of the performance, my family, the flowers my dearest classmate has given me, supporting cheers throughout the performance, cheering from the my friends, from our own band members, dearest seniors and all my friends... All of these come together as one, boosting my morale and thus putting up the best I can give. Thank you guys for being there for me. It is not only my daily practices that allow me to put up such a great performance. It is the invaluable support that you guys give that push myself to greater heights! Thank you guys A LOT!!
It is really a very different experience. Thinking that it ended so quickly... make me really sad.. and the worst thing is.. the seniors are leaving... finally when I am closer to them, they have to leave.. it is so depressing.. I will continue to practice hard, for my seniors, for my friends, for all who look forward to a great percussion section of Hwa Chong Symphonic Band.
In fact, it is not the end, it has only just begun, the beginning of a new life.
